In contact with pesticides because of their professional activity, they have experienced, or still experience, health problems linked to these toxic products: prostate cancer, central nervous system tumours, multiple myeloma, lymphoma, Parkinson’s disease.

Breeders, arboriculturists, wine growers, horticulturists, cereal growers, seasonal workers or employees exposed when re-entering the fields, when repairing machinery or unloading seeds…

These victims are part of the agricultural world, but other sectors are also affected: landscapers, maintenance of green spaces, woodworkers, etc.

After decades of reassuring speeches, farmers and society as a whole are beginning to perceive the multiple dangers that pesticides represent. Several scientific studies (AGRICAN, Inserm…) confirm the over-representation of professionals exposed to pesticides among certain groups of patients.

However, products whose harmfulness is known and proven continue to be marketed. And the victims of these products must fight relentlessly to assert their rights, be recognised and compensated.

Phyto-victimes is a web series that tells the story of their struggle and discusses solutions for reducing the impact of pesticides together.
